Like many other , I used to call this "Beef karahi" or "Beef Korai" , until I came across a Pakistani chef here in New York and came to know that the proper term is " Karahi Beef" or "Karahi Gosht ". Instructions to make Beef Karahai:
- Put oil, ginger garlic paste and beef in pot and fry till golden.
- Add 8 tsp of Shan masala, dahi, gram masla, zeera powder, black pepper and salt.
- Fry for 15 mins on high flame then add water.
- Let it cook on medium flame till meet is tender.
- Add small pieces of tomatoes, bhona zeera and dhani, kasuri methi, chopped green chillies (big pieces) and cook on high flame for 15 mins.
- Then add lemon juice.
- Let it cook for 5 mins on low flame till oil is sperate.
- Beef karahai is ready to serve.
