Steps to make Karaar:
- Take soaked moong dal in a mixtur jar. Blend it in a smooth paste. No need to add water. Paste should be fine.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add hing and cumin seeds in it and saute for a minute.
- Now add ginger paste and saute till raw smell goes away.
- Add moong dal paste in it and saute until dal roasted well and changes colour.
- Now add curd in it and give it a quick mix. Add other masala powder also and saute for a few minutes.
- Now add some water in it and stir it constantly to make a lumps free paste. When you get a smooth paste add more water in it.
- Give it a boil, simmer it for 5-10 minutes to get your desired consistency.
- When you get your desired consistency switch off the gas and sprinkle garam masala powder. Cover it and keep aside.
- Delicious karaar is ready to serve. Serve hot with chapati or rice.
