  1. In a large bowl combine all, except flour. Then add the flour and mix knead by hand until mixture becomes soft dough.
  2. Line trays with baking paper, make little balls (walnut size) press them to become flat place half of walnut mix (crush2.1/2 cups walnuts in a food processor, add 2-3,heaped teaspoons cinnamon 2 heaped teaspoons cloves, 3-4 table spoons sugar, mix) fold and place in a tray a little apart.
  3. Bake in 170-180C oven, for 25 min
  4. Syrup: in a saucepan add 1 cup honey, 2 cups sugar, 3 cups water stir and boil for 4-5 min turn heat to very low and place few at the time, Melomakarona for 2.1/2,min each side then in a tray to cool, sprinkle aromatic walnut mixture on top, OR coconut for white Melomakarona
