Inari-zushi is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. Inari-zushi is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They’re nice and they look fantastic.

The ingredients needed to make Inari-zushi:
- Make ready Sushi Rice *cooked from 180ml x 3 cups uncooked rice
- Take 12 pieces 'Inari-zushi no Moto' (Seasoned Abura-age)

- Get 6 sheets Abura-age (thin fried tofu)
- Prepare 1 cup Dashi Stock *OR 1 cup Water & 1/2 teaspoon Dashi Powder
- Get 4 tablespoons Mirin
- Prepare 4 tablespoons Sugar
- Prepare 4 tablespoons Soy Sauce
If using, toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan, and mix into the sushi rice. Inari Sushi is sushi rice in a pouch made of seasoned aburaage (deep fried thin tofu). It is sweet but it complements the sourness of sushi rice. It is quite simple to make Inari Sushi, particularly when you use store-bought seasoned aburaage.
Steps to make Inari-zushi:
- Cut Abura-age in half and open them carefully. Pour very hot water over the Abura-age to remove oil from them.
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook Abura-age until the sauce thickens. Let them cool in the sauce.
- Alternatively use ready-to-use 'Inari-zushi no Moto'. I recommend to empty the contents into a saucepan to heat, then cool. You can alter the flavour by adding more soy sauce or sugar.

- Make small Sushi Rice balls and wrap with bags of seasoned Abura-age.
